Retail crime is on the rise across the country as a seemingly regular part of the daily news cycle is stories about robberies at convenience stores or “smash and grabs” at tobacco stores. With NATO’s membership made up of retail stores that sell tobacco and nicotine products throughout the country and is partnering with its members to combat this issue. As part of that effort, NATO is tracking legislation addressing retail theft across the United States.
